Steward Volunteers (COVID-19 vaccinations)

As a Steward Volunteer (COVID-19 vaccinations), you’ll guide people on site to make sure the vaccination process runs as smoothly and efficiently as possible. You will help ensure social distancing and identify people who need additional help.

Register to be an NHS Volunteer Responder

Volunteers will work as part of a team including NHS staff and volunteers.

This requires you to commit to at least 2 x 6 hour shifts at a vaccination centre each month. It can be done alongside an existing NHS Volunteer Responder role.


What does a Steward Volunteer (COVID-19 vaccinations) do?

You’ll be asked to support a variety of tasks stewarding at COVID-19 vaccination sites. You may also be asked to support with stewarding at flu vaccination sites and supporting the NHS with non-clinical tasks.

This includes:

  • Stewarding at car parks
  • Stewarding at health, NHS and care sites
  • NHS non-clinical support such as signposting or check in support.
